iRipple was established in 2000 by founders Victor Javier and Hubert Dy as a software development company. In 2002, iRipple made the strategic decision to focus solely on providing technology for the retail industry. In the same year, the first version of Barter POS was launched and steadily grew presence in the country.

In 2008, iRipple went international by offering a software-as-a-service web POS called Imonggo – allowing iRipple to expand internationally. A year later, IRipple became a publicly listed company on Philippine Stock Exchange.
2012 saw further expansion into Southeast Asia with the opening of Malaysia and Thailand Offices.
In 2015, iRipple decided to buy back public shares to be a 100% privately- owned local corporation – allowing full flexibility and autonomy in company direction and product architecture. In the coming years, iRipple further expanded its retail technology offerings into E-commerce, Order Management, Hardware, Purchase to Payment, Business Intelligence, and Inventory Management solutions.
