Nowadays, it is necessary for small businesses to build an online presence. Every customer nowadays search on the internet to find what they want or need. If a business is not online, then they 100% lose on the opportunity to be found by these customers.

There are still many small businesses, however, that don’t have any digital presence yet. They fear that taking this step will be costly for their business. Maybe they already inquired with digital marketing agencies and were quoted astronomical prices.

But every entrepreneur should know that managing their business’s own digital presence need not be complicated. There are free resources online that can teach them the basics, if they are willing to take the time to learn by themselves. Even the required tools for digital marketing can be free.

Here are five of our recommended free tools for digital marketing:

1. Canva

Don’t have the design skills or creativity to come up with fancy images to post on your Facebook page? Use Canva. Canva is a free online design tool that allows you to create beautiful images by using thousands of their free templates.

2. Grammarly

Not so confident about your writing and composition skills? Use Grammarly. The free grammar editing software checks your grammar and composition as you type. Install it on your browser so you can always write that perfect caption.

3. Unsplash

Stock photos are expensive. Thankfully, there are photo repository sites that let you download professionally-taken photos for free. One of these is Unsplash. Just search for the photo that you want and you are sure to find suitable ones for your post.

4. Milanote

It is easy to lose track of your digital marketing posts and campaigns if you don’t have an app that lets you organize them. Thankfully, there’s Milanote. Milanote is a free app that lets you create digital marketing plans, calendars and more. And it’s easy to use because you can just follow the given templates.

5. Facebook Publishing Tools

In the past few years, Facebook has significantly upgraded their publishing platform. Now with its Publishing Tools module, you can schedule posts and check their performance quickly. There is now no need to use costly solutions like Hootsuite.
